ABOUT CARLOS
Carlos Diaz is an award-nominated, bilingual voice actor, director, writer, and acting coach with over 25 years of experience in voiceover animation, commercial voiceover, film, radio, television, and theater. Born in Santiago, Chile, he is based in Toronto, Ontario, though he also works regularly in Vancouver.
His work has earned him three Gemini Award nominations for Best Ensemble (2007-2009) from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and an ACTRA Award nomination for Outstanding Performance – Voice in Justin Time (2014).
He was also the recipient of the first-ever Rolling Rock Best Actor Award and was nominated as one of the 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians in 2010 for his humanitarian work with Habitat for Humanity Chile.
A proud member of ACTRA and SAG-AFTRA, Carlos continues to bring authenticity, humor, and versatility to every role he takes on.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with a working knowledge of French, Carlos not only performs seamlessly in multiple languages but also directs and translates English/Spanish projects. His sharp comedic instincts, remarkable vocal range, and ability to bring depth to both high-energy cartoon characters and nuanced roles make him a sought-after talent in the industry.
Beyond acting, Carlos is an experienced voice director, guiding performances in commercials, animation, and video games. He also works as a voiceover coach and demo director with KH Casting, helping voice actors refine their craft, tackle challenging auditions, and showcase their strengths.
